  • Squaring corners

    Hi all,

This is probably the most simple question to ever come up in these forums, but I need help lol.

I have a rouned edge that I want to turn square, meaning I just want two straight lines meeting the anchor point. How do I do this?

    Attached is what I mean.

    Thankyou

    Illustrator?
The relatively easiest thing to try first is Object>Shape> Convert to shape. If the option is grayed out, try expanding the shape (but not the outline) first.
    Illustrator doesn't make it easy.

Sometimes when you expand a shape, depending on how it was made, Illustrator will give you corner widgets. If it does, just set the corner radius to 0.

If that doesn't work and you only want to change that one corner, add a bezier point, use the direct select tool (white arrow) and use the transform palette to move it into position based on the x,y of the points above and to the left.

Or you can try smart guides, but I don't trust em.
