I was using Magnetic Lasso Tool to select a picture, but occasionaly my hand slipped a little to the side selecting the wrong area. Is it possible to return a step or two back, deleting the wrong selection, and continue further instead of having to start everything over again? Thanks for your help.

I'm thinking backspace on the PC is the same as delete on the Mac. I always forget. I'm on a Mac, I have two delete keys, the one I used was in the same place (I believe) as the backspace key on the PC. Didn't try with the other delete key located to the right.
And yes, of course, Ned's solution is the simplest, provided you have one of those at hand.

I have a PC and used the delete button and it worked perfect .... I just tried the backspace and that works too
Pretty nifty tip

I think it's just a weird terminology/labeling thing Kat. Your backspace is in the same spot as my delete, then I have another one on a little keypad to the right, also labeled delete. I used the one in the backspace position.
Glad it worked for you.
As an aside, I've always had a big problem being proficient with the Magnetic Lasso tool, so I'm glad this question was raised, because I learned something new as well.
