    How can i make a 3D-design in illustrator?

    I need to make the "symbol of man" (the arrow) in a 3D (bevel-kindof thing).
    It's not plain 3D. It needs bevel/emboss, shadow... (see image)
    It really needs to be done in Illustrator. It's to be used in print.


    Does anyone know how to?

    See if you have any luck playing with Illustrator CS2's "extrude and bevel" feature.
    Effect>3D>Extrude & Bevel

      yeah I would do as Riya suggested.

      You could also reproduce that quite easily drawing the shapes and be creative with a few gradients.

      if you are using the effects, you will have to flatten to print.

          Don't flatten it.
          Let the printer do that.
          Send your layered file.

              It's a guy thing.

              Actually this looks just like a path with layer effects from Pshop to me. A couple of minutes, at most.

                Hmm...a few paths, a few "divide objects below" and a few applications of color and gradients and your done.

                Shouldn't take longer then 10 minutes to be honest...
