  • I feel stupid asking.. but here goes.. Crosshatch effects Illustrator?

    #1
I was messing around with Illustrator CS2 and trying to find the crosshatch brush tools that used to be available.. Now I see it listed under filter>Photshop filter and no where else which does'nt help vector art.. ..

Crosshatch effect to apply to vector art does it exist anymore?

Short of a plug-in or 3rd party or drawing out the crosshatches?

Did you try the Adobe Extras folder on the Extras CD?
    I don't use them so haven't looked.

edit: I didn't see much of anything on the Extras disks.

It's a good idea though...since it is "Illustrator" and all.

        Stipling would be nice too!

Yeah, what did happen to all the patterns in CS2? There seems to be only 3 unless I'm missing something here there used to be about a dozen.

Sorry, I meant use the space they're in now, just to better effect. I like the actual layout of the poster; it's just not conveying the right mood yet.

Fair point. I was thinking I would have to replace the whole thing, but I certainly could keep some works and just swap out as needed.

            Hello people.
So I'm considering it to study graphics design. I consider myself very creative and open minded but i'm not sure if this is what I should do? I've just Matriculated last year and need...

In regards to style I think it looks...well messy. It reminds me of something you would get doing autotrace. Strange shapes curves etc. I personally would like more hair like shapes. Nice smooth tapering...

I still say go for the screwpost book. It may seem expensive, but its flexibility outweighs the extra cost, IMO. If it's out of date in 6 months, you can spend $2.60 per page to add to it or to replace...

Yes, design in CMYK that way there shouldn't be any unexpected color shift when printed

OK, my odyssey for a new portfolio continues. I found a local print shop who will print double-sided one-offs for me on a digital press on 100# cover, satin finish for $2.60 per double-sided page. The...
