You still have consistency issues, primarily in style. I feel like you knocked these out without having sketched them on pen and paper first and just went straight into Illustrator and started blocking...

I agree, unless the job is online only, take any professionally printed pieces you have. There's something to be said for being able to hold a brochure or annual report in your hands and turn the pages....

Another question: if a prospective printer is recommending Japan Coated 2001 as the CMYK profile, what Photoshop settings can I use to make a compatible profile, but with black set to heavy? I don't see...

Well, with enough knowledge, the low cost options can become more feasible. So I'll keep asking dumb questions until I'm confident I can pull it off . I've been playing around in Photoshop making...

If you have any real printed pieces, things that were professionally done as projects, definitely bring them.

  • What is this windows font?

What is the font that displays in the windows dialog boxes? Windows says its Tahoma but I really need the "pixelated" look of it.

    Anyone know?

You need a font that matches Windows dialog boxes? Making fake error messages for viruses, are we?

There's nothing to see because I didn't post anything
And yes, its to recreate a critical error box.

Well maybe do a search on www.dafont.com to look at pixel fonts that may suit your need. I am sure if you retype it all, it will look good with almost any of them. Or just copy and paste your letters.

Just set the anti-aliasing method in photoshop to be 'None'. Then you will see it in it's pixelated form.

On a serious note, you probably should post a pic of what you want to copy. Windows has many different fonts and themes, no telling which one you are looking at.
