    Hi guys

I have an Indesign question for you.

Say within the same document in Indesign you wanted to have portrait and landscape pages. Is that possible and if it is how do you do it?

    Thanks

No it is not possible at this stage.

I guess it's lucky too because if you send a file like that (mixture of portrait and landscape pages) to print your printer would be totally unimpressed!

If it is not for print and for viewing purposes only, you can rotate pages once you have exported as a pdf. But that's only if you want to use a pdf for presentation purposes.

My only other suggestion would be to make your page size large enough to accommodate both orientations. But again, printing this would be a nightmare if you needed the pages cut to size. If you just need a pdf, you could crop the excess off of each of the pages in Acrobat. Buda's suggestion would be easier though!

I am wondering if what you really are asking is if you can have some pages where text/image is facing portrait and some facing landscape (where you would turn the book to read or see it in its correct orientation? If so you can do this be creating 2 separate master spreads or pages. If the document was 8.5 x 11 for example, on one master you would orient the text going across the 8.5 width and on the other it would go across the 11" height by turning the text or image 90 degrees. I hope that makes sense.

Why not just make to seperate documents and then stitch them together in acrobat? That will save you the neck pain from keeping your head turned sideways for so long.

            Hi thanks,

Yes I knew about the Acrobat option already, but I was working on some business card concepts and I wanted to make my job easier have portrait and landscape pages with the same document. I wouldn't send the file in that same format to the printers. It was just for conceptualising purposes.

You can actually do this > You need the Script.

              http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/in...3kbharryp.html

You will have to search for the specific script on the interweb
