  • Anyone recommend some good advertising books?

I have a a lot of books on design but want to get a few on advertising - some showing great adverts that have been created - any recommendations?

    Thanks

did you check the links in the frequently discussed topics thread? I know that Jeff Fisher's list is pretty comprehensive and is broken down into categories... check out the book lists here:

    hope that helps some.

Despite it's title, most of this book is interview with 'old school' masters, and mostly copy writers:

Still, I think it's a great book at getting to the essence of great advertising: great copy married to great execution. I like how the big questions are framed by chapters (eg: when to use illustration instead of photos) and all done in the interview process. And the scope of the book is more international than many. FWIW.

thank you both for the feedback!!
placing the info was the hard part and I think I concentrated too much on fitting things in instead of hierarchy or the flow.

I find everything seems to have a decent balance to it. I do, however, find that that balance is off put in certain places around the infographic where the imagery overwhelm the type such as, the "Who...

              Agree

Maybe sit down a bit and plan your layout a bit more and remember hierarchy. Should "Self Care" really draw my eyes away from "Treatment" like it does or should...

Agreeing with cosmo here, not like feeling your way to success. I should take this advice more seriously myself.
