Reply to Japan scraps Olympic logo over plagiarism allegation

I don't understand, plagiarism aside, how someone could design a logo knowing that it would be published to the world and think "I'll just copy this design over here, no one will notice..."...

From google's website: To me, that's a different approach to logos than I've seen in the past where the goal was to create something timeless and long-lasting. The fact that they're announcing to everyone...

I had a client who had two addresses on his business cards and letterhead, but just one on the envelopes. I'd think he would want just one return address on the envelopes so that he can control where...

Yeah, it's kind of a weird question that no one can really answer with specificity. If it was me, I'd move to or near a small-to-medium-size beach resort town, preferably on the West coast. There is always...

  • Should i get their cell number

hello, how is everyone? Should I get my clients cell number?
    Do you?

I really do not want to give out mine, cause when I am in the office, I will answer their calls but when I am out or after hours I do not want them to call me on my cell.

I give my cell number out, and I request a contact number and email address from clients. They are free to give me whatever number they want.

            To answer your question...

I request contact info and they are free to give me whatever info they want. I, however, do not give my cell# because I don't want them bothering the hell out of me all the time. Design isn't life or death. That shit can wait.

I always give out my mobile (cell) number to clients and usually they do the same. I do get calls out of my office hours but I assign all of my clients a different ringtone from everyone else. I know instantly if I should answer the phone or not. Sometimes I do take a clients call at 11pm but only if 1. I like that client, 2. The client has a job that is on print imminently & 3. If she's hot.

It's the same look I give clients all the time. Probably why most never call me outside working hours.
