I was wondering how many ways can one fold a 3 panel brochure?
Also how would the printers know what kind of fold you want?

ive heard you can't fold a piece of paper more then 7 times. but ive only been doing this for 8 years or so (about 2 less then you) and i still haven't figured it out

I just did a few different tri-folds for some clients. The only way I know how to have the printer know which way to fold it, is to print out a copy, fold it, and then drop it off or mail it to the printer. It's hard if your printer is far away, so I would also suggest folding a physical copy, and then photographing it, and send the printer a JPEG. Although, maybe there are simpler solutions.Comment

Isn't a c-fold like a "open gate fold", two outer panels folding in, leaving the center flat not folded?Comment

yeah that sounds right.
