  • Spilling Juice

    #1
I'm working on a Power Point presentation for my high-school French class, which is supposed to be all about me, my family, etc. I made a title for the presentation in Photoshop, just for fun. I think it worked pretty well, but I'm curious what you guys think. One quick note: I have very little photoshop experience, however catch on to things extremely quickly and am a very good drawer (w/ a pencil and paper), so maybe that helped? Tell me what ya think...

Looks good, except that most of the 'juice' is on top of the glass instead of in it.

Yeah.. what Ryan said. You can fix that by drawing the lip of the glass in a new layer and lowering the opacity. I dig it, though!

Thanks for the tip- you've identified a real problem but I think I've fixed it, even though it is quite as elegant as I would like it to be. Anyway, any other suggestions? (See updated jpg.)

Ohh yeah, I recognize the shadow is off, but I can fix that by using the liquify function and moving it or cuting it out carefully and redoing it. So don't worry about that too much.

Personal rule of mine: never, ever use Brush Script (or Mistral). So overused for so many years... so, I decline to comment specifically. I love yellow, though.

Also, just FYI... I've been doing a lot of 'spilled' ink and stuff like that lately, and Eye Candy 4000 has a really good filter for it - Glass. If you play with it enough, your art will look really slick and juicy. Bummer, though: Eye Candy doesn't work with Photoshop CS.

Man I think it looks great. Creativity is number one for me. I like the fact that you came up with a great idea.

Keep up the good work man!

Good point, benjo... Concept can definately outweigh execution.
