  • affordable general stock photos anyone?

    #1
Are there any wbesite that do not have JUNK (free images that are 10k jpeg disasters), are royalty free and do not cost $100 per image?

I buy stock collections from time to time, but they are almost always filled with people and not general subjects (marble, wood, grass, flowers, clouds, metals, whatever).

    Any help would be appreciated!

I know there are a few companies. The is one called ablestock.com that has a pretty reasonable per-year membership.

Recently, though, i stumbled across an ebay auction for a 24 hour access pass to a website called

    www.zebra-stock.com

It only cost me $10! for access to a grundle of high-resolution general-subject imagery. They let you use them for print, web or whatever, as long as you don't sell the image itself (like an e-card or something).

    Hope this helps! Cheers!

You could also try istockphoto.com ... the photos are relatively good, pretty cheap. They run it on a points system... you buy so many points, each photo is worth so many points, etc.
