• Creating a Word Graphic

#1
I have been taking a photoshop class for the last couple of weeks. The project that was currently assigned was taking a word and making it intoa graphic. The word that happend to get associated with me was Extreme. I am going to need some serious help cause I dont have that much graphic experience. What I want to do is take the the word X-treme, and create it into a 3d graphic, something that will make heads turn. I want to make all the letters look 3d, if not all the leters at least the X. And any other features that can be thrown in there to enchance the lettering would greatly be appreciated. If anyone has any examples of work that they can show me, or if they can create the graphic and then give me instructions or point me to a tutorial that will help me create something like this. I would greatly appreciate it. I have limited time to do this, so quick responses are greatly appreciated.

thanks to all that decide to help out.

http://www.thewebmachine.com/ Go to the Photoshop section and click the 3D Type link in the sidebar. It's about halfway down.

Didn't have time to look thru for you.

Gotta admit, I came in here expecting to find someone trying to design a graphic in MSWord and wanted to start my day off with a bang .
Thanks, actually, for disappointing me.

Look at electronic gaming magazines for ideas. The word or a derivitive has been done several ways.
