Museums, museums, museums.
Okay I've never been to New York. But one day I will get there!

On my list of things that must be done there are the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art

We have many members from NY and NJ. So I'm sure they will be along to have some gems of places that aren't in tour books to visit.

In addition to the MET and the MOMA, here's a sampling that may be of some interest. I recommend keeping a camera with you, there's a lot to see while walking about.
