  • Best Sources for Static Ultra Cling Film

    #1
Would like to know who are the best sources for supplying low quantity , 8.5" x 11.0" sheets of white static ultra cling film. I want to make up a few decals for some Porsche owners so plan to do these myself. Since the decals will be circular ... any suggestions for cutting them from the sheet?
    Thanks!

do you have a solvent printer?

I'm not to up on the OfficeStaplesMax stuff but inkjet on static cling?

For a Porsche, I'd go to a sign shop and have them printed and cut.

      Porsche decal

      Thanks for your reply!
Don't have a solvent printer nor do I know what that is . The cling material that I plan to use is supposed to be compatible with ink jet printers. Very difficult ,maybe impossible to find any commercial printer that would do a small run ( less than 25) at a reasonable cost. If the low cost ink jet solution doesn't work than I will have to look at other options.

Note I said sign shop. Many'll do one offs. And if you can wait for another job on the same material, they can usually do it for less than a minimum order charge. But that's not what you're asking. If you think the stuff is made for inkjet, than maybe any of the big box office supply stores would have it?

Office stores do sell window cling material for inkjet printers. I've used them before, though this was about 10 years ago to decorate a shower curtain.

As for cutting circles, got a coffee can? Oh wait, most coffee doesn't come in cans...
            Dinner plate? Saucer? Cake pan?

                Hi,
I'm looking for clear static-cling film. I'm not really sure what to call it other than that. If you don't know what I mean, imagine the tinted static-cling film you can buy to tint your car windows. I'm looking for that, except clear.

Another example of it would be a friend of mine who has a New York Yankees logo on the back window of his car. It's the Yankee logo on a square piece of this clear static-cling film. You just apply the film to the window and press out the air bubbles with your fingers or a credit card.

Could I get some of this clear film somewhere? I've looked at craft stores, hardware stores, general merchandise stores, even eBay. I haven't had any luck so far. Have you ever seen it anywhere?

If you are looking for stuff that applies like window tint (water and squeegee) AND you have a solvent or UV printer try
