I had no idea that the Japanese had a thing for Octopuses.

*shudders* things that live under the water have no place in the bedroom for me. In fact they could have no place in my life at all and I would be fine with that (except for beluga whales and sea turtles, most other ocean life is just creepy)

When I was a wee lass me and my best friend hired out a movie called Wicked City (1987). Apparently tentacle porn only warrants an R13 rating here because it was animated. Every time her dad came into the room it was a fumble fumble to quickly stop the video before he saw what we were watching.

Octopus have never quite been the same ever since. Is it weird that I still draw tentacles every now and then?

      Cute illustrations by the way.

except for a very few images that might have stovepipe hat wearing puritans blushing in the Metropolitan museum of art, I still don't see anything that would be NSFW by MY definition. Oh well chalk it up to regional differences.

Cool images BTW, I was so perplexed by the NSFW I didn't get that bit out earlier.

I also am befuddled by the idea of tentacle porn, is Cthulhu the Japanimation equivalent to Ron (the hedgehog) Jeremy?

Always best to be safe with anything that contains nudity, one of the images had a fat lady drawn with her **** out. You could be in work and have someone, who may not be against this sort of thing itself, but could begrudge you and report you for looking at obscenities on the work computer, art or not, it could be grounds for dismissal, especially if there's a vein out to get you. OR it could be simply that someone takes great offense to that nudity, cartoon or arty or whatever. It's simply not a good idea to let any images that contain nudity onto the forum where someone else, some place in the world might get into trouble, lose their job, their livelihood etc. simply because you were too naive to put NSFW in the thread title. It's a fair warning and if you feel you have a strained relationship in work, or simply don't want to possibly offend anyone around your work station, or don't want to take that risk you can go home and look at it to your hearts content and then decide if it's safe enough for you to post in the thread. And besides, what if the link I posted was totally safe, then some smart ass decided to post a real picture or a real naked man or woman gyrating with a real octopus, as sick as that may sound, I bet there are images like that. And simply including NSFW in the thread title is warning enough that not only the link might be NSFW but that people could possibly be finding and posting similar themed images right in the forums.

Am I the only one here who sees the obvious erotic angle of tentacle porn?

(And please don't get me started on chipmunk fantasy art)

It's not as twisted, or that far out as, I don't know... unicorns or something.

Broacher...I agree with you. Tentacle porn does seem, kind of, obvious to me. But, maybe that's because I've seen too many things in life....that I cannot unsee.

There are some really interesting artworks there, if because of nothing more than style.

If it wasn't for their short lifespan, and the fact that I don't believe in reincarnation, I like the idea of coming back as an octopus. They are kinda supreme in the invertebrate world.

And invertebrate sex sounds a lot more... comfortable.

It was just a logo that the designer modified the text by covering up bits here and there, super lazy as some designers tend to be. It would have taken forever to do it one by one. Ended up taking less...

Doing them one at a time using pathfinder to subtract (minus front) is probably safer so you can keep an eye on the stacking order.

In the pathfinder palette, open up...

Perfect! I knew it was something simple. I was trying to use the "Path" in the "Objects" menu instead of the pathfinder toolbox Duh LOL All I had to do was select everything and use...

You could try Select > Same > Fill Color to get all of the boxes, then convert them to a compound shape and use pathfinder to subtract. However depending on the way the document is made the best...
