Ok i'm desperately trying to find out how i can mimic this page at IGN.com on my own website.

    http://uk.pc.ign.com/objects/143/14345201.html

What I mean is, I need something like this to work on my website. As you can see the page is dedicated to a game, now the site has a page like this dedicated to every game they have written about. Every article that is related to the game gets put on the dedicated page, it's like a profile.

I'm looking for a plugin or something that will give me this capability for my wordpress site.
IGN.com moved its content to wordpress vip and I cant seem to find anything or anywere that I can get this feature on my site.

It says object in the URL also which is weird.

Cany anyone help or explain how i can get a page like this for each game i write about on my site.
    www.gogaminggiant.com

    Thanks in advance.

When I first read the topic title I thought this would be about spelling

What articles are you referring to? The updates section? Guides/ cheats? I'm afraid I'm slightly confused right now.

wordpress is a blogging platform. You have one main blog page made up of posts, and you can add other pages and add other content to them as you like. There's usually a header, footer sidebar, and main wrapper. Theme developers are getting more and more creative in trying to turn wordpress into a CMS. It does fairly well for simple content. You're going to have to do some research and find a theme that functions the way you want it to, and modify it to get it the way you want. There's only so much you can do from the stylesheet, and you'll be diving into the php pages quite a bit. If you know nothing about website coding, your best bet is to find a theme that allows a lot of customization from options within the wordpress interface. Commercial themes will often install extra interface options from the wordpress admin page... allowing you customize the appearance. There are a plethora of plugins available for wordpress, which can be very very useful, but none that are going to completely rewrite a theme for you. If you're totally lost, I suggest hiring a designer who works with wordpress to design a theme for you.

before I had skimmed your message, thinking you just wanted an easy button for mimicking the functionality of another site. I don't know if it's possible to display only posts with a certain tag (like you can by category) but that's what I would try to do.

You'll probably need to install a MySQL database (of course this depends on the number of items you've got) to manage the records.
phpNuke is old but it could do the job nicely. To use phpNuke nicely with a WordPress template you'll need either some research or some development help.
I'm not too familiar there, but you're probably in for 40 hours of dev (no layout or design, just software dev).

I'm only looking at being able to create a page that can be edited through wordpress. Wordpress is used a CMS also, thats what IGN are using it as. The page in the link has articles relating to the game, when an article is written it is placed on the page, persumably by selecting the page through a plugin and submitting. I wouldn't think its something too complex, just simple and straight forward like wordpress really.

What i want wordpress to do is allow me to create a page for every game, then any futre articles written about this game can be posted to that page and act as a datebase for the game in question.

Does no one get what I am getting at?

I had a look at the source code and it looks like scripts. Why does the url have objects in it.
