Hi, just wondering if there are certain 'rules' to follow when designing a brochure (I'm sure there are..always seem to be rules for everything!!). Just wondering if anyone had a fav link they refer to for ideas/insipiration. The only rule I have, avoid centering...it's only used when you can't think of anything else to do!! ha!

I realize after I posted, this is a loaded question.

Loaded question indeed. If there is anything in graphic design I really don't like doing it's trifold brochures. I don't know what it is, but we all have our thing that we hate doing, and that's mine. So, I guess my advice to you is to maybe choose a different format, like a letter sized bifold, or a tabloid foldover that can tuck inside of a presentation folder. Anything, really, but a trifold. But that's just me...

    Sorry I wasn't more help

I hear you on that point! I was planning to layout it out as a full-page brochure as an insert to a folder. Just looks cleaner, more professional...I was trying to go to big company sites to see if pdf's were available of their brochures..but didn't have much luck.

Go to this site: <<http://www.omegaplastics.com/brochure.htm>> if you wanna see one I did for a semi-large company. What a pain it was! The guy kept wanting to look over my shoulder while I worked on it. Oy, the memories!
