  • Need to Find this Font

    http://www.archive.org/details/RadioatW1944

About 21 seconds into the video you will see Radio at War appear. I need this font or something that very similar.

    Thanx.

I'm pretty sure you will NOT find the exact font. Likely done by hand. Though perhaps you can try searching for 'lightning bolt' fonts or something similar.

You can google "lightning font" and find some fairly terrible free fonts. This looks like it's originally hand-rendered. None of the duplicated letters are exactly alike.

If you do find a free one, double check the licensing. If this is for a commercial project, you may not be allowed to use it.

Something that old is almost surely hand-drawn. Luckily letters like that are easy enough to draw, so that may be what you have to do.

Yeah, there are 3 As and not one is alike.

I did a little research and came across something quite similar.

Thank you for making that screen shot. Most of the letters I need are in there except "E". With some cutting, pasting, and stretching it should work. It's a public domain video as well.

                      Welcome Aboard Ifreddecolo

WTF has been around a bit ... but an image like that is never going to work. It has to be a clear black and white image with a distinct separation in the letters.

.. besides as mentioned previously that particular "font" is hand made.
