  • PMS colors?

I just started at a new job and I need to figure out what the PMS colors for our business cards; unfortunately the original designer is dead. Go figure, nothing is easy.
Anyway, I'm not a graphic designer, but thought that this would be the best place to get some help on this matter. Anything helps! Thanks!

Welcome Katouche! We ask all new members to have a read through these important threads with our rules and FAQs.

Do you at least have access to the designer's files and the programs used to create them? Do you know who printed the cards (though they likely don't have your files or details if it's been a while)?

Sorry to hear about the designer. You're right, death can sure make things difficult.

Holding a seance is a good way to get that information. If a psychic is unavailable, a Pantone swatch book may also prove useful.

I used illustrator to draw the hitch. I used the pen tool, shape builder, blob brush, as well as other tools.

I do have a preset job option from the printer (I work for a vendor and send things directly to the printer) and I use it, but the clients are just exporting to pdf from InDesign. I've never considered...

Download some of those lace samples and study them in Illustrator. You will see the complexity and you see that you will have to know the shortcuts and how the program works for repeats, exclusions e...
