not bad, but it's basic. for a professional sports team i would expect something a little more refined. the S in nets on the first logo bugs me.

This is my pen tool. There are many like it, but this one is MINE. My pen tool is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My pen tool without me is useless. Without my pen tool, I am useless.
there is no grey area when it comes to 1 color logos.
A designer friend of mine was soliciting opinions of this logo via Twitter. My reply was "I like that it's fairly simple & not overly complicated like many other newer sports teams' logos. Not especially *clever* though." His response: "Even the Raiders have silver with their black. B&W is not enough for a flexible brand, and the type and emblem lack cohesion."
That's the first thing I thought of too -- a big, long, animated intro full of eye candy designed for aesthetic appeal rather than functionality. It's the kind of thing that the common wisdom ten years...
