  • I Hate Golf!

    #1
I knew this project would be an issue. The actual design work I can do but it is tedius and time consuming, however that is not the problem! My macbook pro got stolen some months ago and I bought a Samsung laptop to replace it with lower spec. I didn't have enough moolah at the time but now I am saving up for something special.

Anyway I cannot save the design, My C drive is more than half free, I cannot save it to a memory stick, it just won't save. I am thinking of either doing it all and leaving my computer on, then try saving it to the person I am working fors super USB. That or wait until tomorrow and work it out at his office.

If Anybody has any other bright ideas I would love to hear them please, cheers
    -Tom

You had the money to change to a windows PC and buy a windows version of the adobe products but not enough to get a MAC? Or did you just happen to have a copy lying around?

What's this have to do with golf?

Are you getting any errors when you try to save? Like a file size to large, not enough resources type thing...

          >Had a macbook pro stolen
          >Have creative suite for free
          >I am young and have lived out on my own for some time.
          >The project that needs to be finished by Fridat evening and that won't save is orientated around golf.

Yea basically when I try to save it says there is no enough memory

If you can't save it maybe that free version ain't so free after all?
Cryptic and vague situation you have there why don't you go to adobe technical support?

Na well a computer technician who is a friend of my mothers installed the programs and they have been fine for ages. The problem is the spec of the computer. No butthurt because I did not have to be raped by adobe, I don't care if you are a designer who does it for a little fun or a serious, high income designer, it is nice to not have to pay ridiculous amounts.

If its what i'm thinking, I've had this issue before, when its says not enough memory its talking about RAM (not hard drive space). Only way to get around it is to lower the proportions of your illustrator/indesign/photoshop file so its uses less memory to render the image. If its an illustrator file the effects shouldn't be too bad (gotta love vector).

Software pirating is illegal and unethical. Discussion of illegal activity is not tolerated on the forum as stated very clearly in the forum rules.
                  3. This is a professional forum. Therefore, we will not tolerate discussion of illegal activities on these boards, including, but not limited to, pirated software or how to steal fonts.
As you seem to lack the knowledge, ability and equipment, looks like you are in no position to offer graphic design services for money.

lol, you obviously either have not read the entire thread properly or do not understand my current situation with regards to having a loweas my macbook pro was stolen. Also 5 or so years of formal education in photography and graphic design would teach me nothing whatsoever and I have not been living from an income based around graphic design for the most recent period of my life. Interesting.

I understand your rules etc blablabla, to be honest I don't care about adobe, they could easily make one program that would incorporate all of the actions but they have made three main programs so you have to buy them all anyway. Adobe, whoop bak mung kee bruisat.

You do not seem to understand the forum rules as you claim. You have been asked by a forum moderator to stop your posts that advocate and justify software piracy. Period. What you care about is inconsequential, as is cussing in Thai.

You will, if asked by a representative of the forums, cease posting any content and/or links that are deemed offensive, objectionable, in violation of the forum rules, or in poor taste by the staff of the forums. Failure to do so will result in a temporary or permanent suspension.

Understanding is different to caring, but okay I will comply. I am sorry gracious moderators and glorious adobe for my posting and Thai curising. Aside from that, Pan next time you judge somebody, actually know the person more than just a fraction of what they are next time if you could

What is it you're worried about, that she'll take the PDF and bypass you for printing? When i send stuff (other than to my vendors for production) I always use smallest file size. Looks fine on screen...
