  • Removing Background "Fragments" From Round Image

    #1
Using Gimp, I'm trying to make this image with a clan crest over tartan. I can remove the white background from the crest, but there seems to be some odd bits around the very edges of the crest. No matter what I try, it always comes out like that. Please see attached. Anyone know a fix? Thanks.

    What have you tried?

I'd just draw a circle around it and give it a black stroke.

Make a path. Save the path. Put the part inside the path on your preferred background. If you want someone to do it for you send a private message I can help.

          Welcome to GDF!

Where did the image of the crest come from? Did you draw it? What software did you use to draw it? Is it raster or vector? Was the "appropriated" from the internet?
