Go for Wacom. I have the Bamboo and I like it. Though I haven't tested out any of their flasher tablets, Bamboo is a good starting point.

I haven't heard of the other brand you mentioned....

Get a bamboo. It's cheap and really good. Be prepared that it takes 2-3 weeks to get the precision you currently get with your mouse and then it will improve beyond it.

Thank you for the welcome! Well, I have wanted one for a while. The mouse is just too slow and inaccurate for me. You can't get the detail in the drawings that I would like. As it is my first venture...
