I got a HP Deskjet 9800 wide format printer over the weekend to help with school projects. I have ID 2.0.
For some reason ID just cannot print on the "borderless" setting properly. Printing on the normal settings or on my other printer (Officejet 6110) turns out fine.
For this project I have a background image (basically just a generic cloudy blue from PS) but when I print it out the background gets chopped into boxes of various saturations of my blue, following my image frames in places. All the elements that do not touch the edge of the page are fine. It's getting frustrating, not to mention that the 11x17 gloss paper is very expensive and I went through like 4 sheets today!
I tried exporting to a PDF and printing from that, with the same result. I was able to redo the bigger project in PS and print from there fine, but now I'm working on a brochure and I don't want to have to beat the text into submission again. I opened said PDF in PS but the colors were all off so I didn't even try to print. I also rebuilt the blue background from scratch in case the file was corrupted...no go.
Any help?
