    Hi,
I am looking for a film system that will give me up to 16x 20 positives. The problem I am having at the moment with either laser printers and ink-jet systems is that they have an uncontrollable shrinkage problem, I need precision printing/developing of transparent film/vellum where each piece if film either does not shrink OR the shrinkage is identicle so that I am able to compensate.
Also, I am looking for as compact a system as possible, any ideas would be appreciated!
    Thanks GAry

It seems like when ever someone has a printer question I direct them to xante. I am really impressed with the quality of their products. This sounds exactally like what you are looking for.

Actually, I have used an xante and have found that the film shrinks like a pecker in ice water!
The one I used is a couple of years old! I am though, open to progress and will check them out.
        Thanks GAry

Since the Film Maker 4 is a computer to film processor I would bet that it is dead on. The only problem is it only prints 13" to 35" and you need it 3" bigger.

Try Agfa. You should be able to get your hands on a used Agfa imagesetter for a song. Also film can be expensive so do not buy your film from Agfa, find a 3rd party source and you'll save hundreds on film.
