You're in danger of having too many elements. If you're going to make something of the W being different, make it noticeably different (I assumed the Woodruff was in the W font, and took me a while to...

Thanks for the thoughts and questions. I had several tries with the same font but it always looked too plain. The different fonts seemed to help the logo to stand out but still look professional. I'll...

Comment on Hey guys, I'm wondering which domain name sounds better.

You might try always spelling it out with mixed case, as in MichelleBethDean.com. Domain names aren't case sensitive, so it'll work with no problem. It'll also eliminate any confusion over what it says...

I'm new to this pre press stuff.
can anyone tell me why when doing pre-flight check on quark doc I get this red alert message
*An incorrect number of printing inks will result in the output of extra plates when printing separations. This item compares the number and type of colors the document will output to the colors specified in the Job Jacket Output Instructions for the document. Unneeded spot colors should be converted to process. To do this, select each spot color in the Color dialog, click the Edit button, and check the "Process Separation" (QuarkXPress 3.3) or "Spot Color" (QuarkXPress 4) checkbox.*
my colours are cmyk process with the spot box unchecked and the and in the colours dialog box it says there are no spot colours only process ones. How do I sort this colour alert please.

Somewhere in your document you have additional colors formatted.

This could be a forgotten extra space or a hidden image that is behind something. It could be a linked item that is not cmyk or has elements that are not cmyk in it.

My advice is to print out all seps with document information printed to tell you what you are getting on each separation.

Then you can focus on the colors that print that should not be there and correct the document.
