That might not even be a font. It could be based on a font, but there is no rule that it has to be, and if it is, I can't think of a worse vehicle for identification than an unclear photo of neon....

Thank you. I understand that, as a designer, it is part of the time I charge for, to determine the individual values of colors in their various models, etc. This is not what I'm trying to avoid, or streamline....

    No.
Because the CMYK values, Hex Values, RGB values and the actual Pantone match values (you are using spot colors, pantone or otherwise, right?) may not be the values associated with any one single...

    Hey,

Iím extremely new to prepress and I know maybe a touch of the basics. I hear a lot of you guys saying working at a print shop is one of the best things you can do for yourself as a designer.

I really want to get a good understanding for this stuff. I feel so lost on this forum sometimes when you guys talk about this stuff. Example spot colors and gamut are a coupleÖ. I feel I could learn so much more from this forum if I only new what these things meant.

Do you guys know any good books, or websites that can help me out?

    Thanks

You can learn a ton from this site. The library section features a pre-press dictionary.
