  • Hot Foil Stamping

Company I work for is getting into business of hot foil stamping on paper and cardboard. We think to use Heidelberg cylinder for that purpose. I saw on a video that it is possible to get foil reel width to be exactly what is needed - see picture attached (sorry for bad quality - it is from youtube).

However our supplier only offers standard reel widths. My question is - how is it possible to get smaller reel widths?

    Thanks in advance!

Ask your supplier if they know a converter that will custom slit the reels for you.

Select the first rectangle, go to Object>Path>offset path. For an inside border use a negative number. Outside is positive number.
If you want to fill the frame, select both objects and make...

I think if you shift/drag it bigger, it will make it a square. I would duplicate the rectangle and increase the size by a percentage, then align to the original.

I've been doing this the hard way for years and I'm just going to ask the stupid question.

If I have a rectangle, and I want a border around it (not a stroke) that is perfectly aligned (same...
