  • How to save art for vehicle wraps?

    Hello everyone!

I was wondering how do you guys do the paneling for vehicle wraps and if you know any tutorials or workshops.

    Thank you

You talk to the installer. However the installer wants them is how they get them.
If you are working with a printer that supplies an installer, or if the printer IS the installer, you ask them. Everyone is a little bit different in how much bleed and design overlap they want. Sometimes it is design or vehicle dependent too.
If you ARE the printer/installer, and you are asking this question, you aren't ready to be doing vehicle wraps on client vehicles.

    As a for instance,
if I'm doing a fiberglass box truck, I only want 1/4" bleed on panel overlaps.
If I'm doing a box truck with rivets, I want at least an inch overlap.
If I'm doing a van, since I don't do vehicles, I'd discuss the proposed design with the installer to check that a. the design will stretch and align properly over body flairs and b. how he wants it cut up. Sometimes it isn't just in quarter panels. Sometimes sections need to be duplicated. yada yada yada.
