  • Landscape Printing.

    G'day,

I was wondering how I should I set up my files in indesign so I can have two -a4 landscape facing each other. Like this: http://www.thisnext.com/media/160x160/92BBD88C.jpg

Would it be 4 spreads on an a2 piece of paper, then cut in half ?

Also one more question. Is there a particular way to cut out shapes in your mag? I wanted to use a different coloured paper, and iwanted to cut out a sihouette of something in the middle of it. Would i just use my blade?

This is for a uni project btw .

    Thanks for helping

    Landscape Facing pages.

    File > New > Document.
Number of Pages: 2 pages and tick Facing pages.
Choose the landscape orientation. (the man on his side on the page).
    Hit OK.

On your pages pallette, click on the triangle in a circle button for more options.
    Choose Numbering and Sections Options.
Select "Start Page Numbering at" and enter "2"
    Hit OK.

    Done!

    Die cut shapes

In the industry, it is usual to get a die line made for die cut shapes. But since this is a Uni project, you will cut it out with a knife yourself.

It depends on how it is being stitched. Are you printing this yourself? If not, the printer will probably want to impose it themselves. In which case, give them a call and see if you can leave it up to them.
