  • A4 trifold brochure with bleed

    #1
Hi can anyone point me in the direction of an indesign template for a trifold brochure including bleed.

Making the total size of the page 301 mm x 214 mm.

I was using a template for 'letter' size of paper which was fine but at the last minute they told me they need A4 . Its pretty urgent.

    Can anyone help me out.

    Cheers
    Andy.

Just build it yourself. Use this link to figure out where your folds are. Something that simple to make probably won't have a pre-made template.

ok, so is the total page width and height the size including bleeds?

      Thanks

No, make you page the page size. Your bleed extends beyond that.

          trifold

Ok thanks I did that, so I have a short panel of 3.855970 inch and 2 wide panels of 3.914700. Basically A4 size.

How much space do you recommend leaving around content that doesn't touch the side of the page?

E.g. I have some images that go to the edge of the page and some which has a space round it.

It is ok to be equal space around?

The bleed is in mm of 2mm top right bottom top.
          Cheers

          Andy

Thanks for the link, Ckret, it reminded me I needed to tweak my trifold templates.. I just used Margins and Columns to fold it evenly in 3, which means every trifold i've made was off by just a sixteenth of an inch.. Nice having absolute numbers now.

And by the way - at letter size, I usually assume a quarter inch margin all around is totally safe. You'll probably be fine at one eighth inch, too, unless the pressmen are bouncing your job all over the place.

            Thanks again!

Just a note, A4 size is 210mm x 297mm. Make your artwork exactly this and set the bleed in your options.
