    Hi All,

    My 5 year old Epson ink jet printer just died on me and nowI have the lovely task of getting a replacement printer. I basically use the printer for personal use to print out my own graphic design work or to print out comps for freelance work. So my question is about recomendations on good large format printers, either inkjet or laser. I need a printer that can print up to 13 X 19 inchesand other than thatI am very open to suggestions. Thanks

    hp offers a wide range of products for large format printing.....the prices range from $995 up to $9995...they also manufacture inks so there is a constant supply of compatible high quality ink... i can personally vouch for the quality of hp printers...my hp printer is almost 8 years old and its still up and running, high quality printing is not a problem with hp...

      Which Epson did you have?
      Have you checked out the 4000?
      I have a 3000. Supposedly picky but mine's a little workhorse.

      HP's are nice too. I don't have an intermediate model that does 13x19 though.
      The little one I have and the bigger ones out there have been real sweet to me.

      I'd go with either another Epson or Hp myself. There are other printers out there though.
      Do a little research among the consumer advocate websites.

      PD is a grande format digital print dude. His advice/opinions may not apply to the 4color/offset/web world of printing

        i'd look at the 7600 epson.. We got the 9600 44' version.. High quality.. Very reliable.. never a problem.. great outputs!
