OK, hopefully I explain this clearly because I'm barely making sense to myself.
My vinyl guy sent us a job for adhesive back vinyl with these instructions:
"One part of this is fairly long (6 feet) and I did something that has been working well for me on my friction feed plotter...I split the contour path into shorter segments about 20" each. That way your blade doesn't have to try to make it all the way around in a single pass, it can cut as it goes. Try it and see if it's any easier to track."

Contour line is the outside magenta line, a segmented piece is highlighted...
Here's my problem, I'm afraid of my blade not picking up exactly where it left off and to "try" and see on a 6foot piece is out of the question. It's pretty much a straight cut so I'm not worried about it going wonky. (Which has been the case if I send too many intricate cuts at once)
So my other question is how do I reconnect the contour lines (if that is in fact what I need to do).Do I just group it or do I combine it through the pathfinder tools? I can combine complex shapes but the line has me floored. I know I know how to this, my brain is sploding!!
I guess what I'm asking is should I leave the line segmented or reconnect it for one long path.
I need a drink.
Thank you for any help!

Thank you! But I'm also wondering if I should leave it segmented?
