  • Printing problems with Fiery Print Server

    #1
I'm attempting to print some floor plans from Photoshop 7.0.

My color printer is connected to a fiery print server, all of my settings seem to be correct to my knowledge.

When I go to print, it tells me that the document has spooled and that the job is being processed.

I've selected the right papersize, correct printer , everything.

The Fiery than decides to quit the print job. Any reason why this is happening?

Rebooting the Fiery or the printer didn't seem to help either.

    I'm puzzled...please help !!!!

What size is your doc you are working on? Could it be taking too much memory so it knocks the print job outta the que and quits the job when trying to process?

Could be a postscript error too
or a level 3 file on a level 2 printer...

convert the whole document to a 300 dpi bitmap (keep the original of course) - and if it prints, then it's probably not a memory error but a postscript error.

if that's the problem you'll have to troubleshoot the file... - which is basically printing little portions of it until you find the offending item.

Converting to a bmp and going down to 300 dpi totally worked!

The Floor plans came out spectacular!

            Keyre- YOu rock!

            THanks Again!

Moo's cards are printed on HP indigos. Definitely a step up from "common" copier-based digital printing, and on the upper tier of digital printing, but if you could go for traditional offset...
