  • Design Inspiration?

Was wondering if anyone has some good design awards sites? I'm designing identity for a number of country inns and restaurants, and I'm looking for some inspiration from other award-winning or well known restaurant/hospitality logos. I'm looking for something authentic, and want to design an identity that looks classic, as if it has existed for a long time.

Also by the off chance, anyone know of a book of historical restaurant logos? I'm betting this exists somewhere, just gotta find it...

    Thanks for looking.

*edit* Found this thread, however the brands discussed in the article are a little too commercial... I'm looking for something distinguished, without the slightest hint of being a "chain" of any kind...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am worried that the E is not obvious enough. Do you think that's the case? Or do you think maybe it doesn't matter so much?

I wouldn't show sketches. You're demonstrating your propensity to give away your work for free, without any sort of contract or agreement to terms. It's a bad precedent and it makes it more likely in...

It took me a few seconds, but instead of AMP D, it says AMPED. It's clever making an electrical plug from the E and D. The abbreviation "amp' has a bunch of definitions, like amplifier or ampere....

It's been my experience that when clients see rough sketches, they are typically unable to envision a sketch becoming a finished product. They also see it as unfinished and seem to feel an urge to want...
