As you stated the first effect was really simple using the pathfinder. Re the brush/distressed look, that portion is still a little vague and has proven to be a tad more difficult than anticipated. You...

It does look like a bull head.

I would take some time to check out different bull horns.

Hello all! I'm trying to find a website (or two) that has similar templates to Stock Layouts. My main customers are the automotive industry and I need to find those full and half page ads that you see in the paper every week with the latest specials and events. We just need something that will give us a base to modify!

    Thanks!

I've done these ads before. Ad specs vary from paper to paper -- so I built my own templates. One you have the basic ones, they're pretty easy to modify. Just takes a little time to get the first ones set.

I don't know anything about purchasing templates, and you may not have much luck on this forum with this question is my hunch.

You could always hire someone to create a template for your situation. EC is right, each paper will have custom specs. As a matter of fact, check with the printer of the paper to see if they have a stock template for the base art if you don't want to create it yourself.

I am not trying to be obtuse here, but I have often found that trying to find something to get around doing the actual works takes me ALOT longer than doing the actual work. So you might be better off, time wise, in getting the specs from the printer and going from scratch.

I know, not what you want to hear, but it may be the best possible solution still.
            Thanks,
