Thank you for your answer PrintDriver. Seems like I was misinformed. I'll probably have to buy another printer that can print on thicker card stock then. Do you have any suggestions as to what printer...

    Thanks.

I was testing the Font Suitcase and seems to be screwing with my Chrome bowsers...after some googling--looks like its a known issue. FEX it is then.

    Thanks Garricks....

I think a lot depends on what one's definition of a logo might be. Many beginners and amateurs tend to make logos that are really just small, complicated illustrations. Most professionals, on the other...

are you talking about the shapes themselves or the texture?

If your talking about the shapes then that was most likly done with the bezei tool… not a brush.

the skull in the center, it has arrows going from it pointing to what i'm talking about

the feather-like thing that goes in a circular motion around the skulls.

I dont think it was a brush I think someone just made it. You can just make one side and copy and flip to finnish the other side - grab yourself a chair and the trusty pen tool and have some fun.

there in clip art books like crazy, maybe even find some free ones online, otherwise draw your own and make it into a brush

You may be able to get away with just one of the 'v' shaped bits copy, paste, resize and rotating it. Then obviously add on the end ponits and the branches at the bottom that links it all together. I think by doing it this way you'll get more of a uniform look to it also.

You need to sort your terminology out a bit too dude. When you asked what brush to use, I think you ment what tool. As there is a brush tool, with which you can use many different brushes (or brush tips if you will). Hence the confusion.

Remeber this forum is mostly populated by professionals and they tend to only recognise proffessional terminology. Sorry if this seems pedantic.

Pedantic? Nice. I had to look that one up. Whoo Hoo! I learned a new word! (This might sound sarcastic, but it's really not ... I'm something of a word geek.)
