  • Need Advise For A Graphic Design Project

    Hello,

I am taking a Contemporary Communications class at The New England Institute of Art. We are doing a project where we have to put together a presentation about something related to our major. My major is Graphic Design.

The Topic I want to do is on Stolichnaya Vodka. I want to talk brief;y about it's history and how it is made. Then I want to talk about the ad campaign, the logo design, and the poster designs.

My concern is that my teacher has not said yay or nay to my topic yet and I have sent him multiple copies of my outline to be approved. Next week we have to give a one minute presentation that will be stating or previewing what we will be talking about later on for our final presentation which will end up being 8 to 10 minutes long.

Honestly I just would like some advice on where I should be taking this, any resources I could look at, or any advice that someone can give me.

    thank you very much.

As a student, you really need to come up with ideas and do the research yourself. It's part of the learning process, and it's something you're gonna have to do in the real world. Sounds like you need to corner your professor and get him to approve your outline ASAP. I would have been at least getting some research done while waiting for an answer.

Could try contacting a PR rep from the company that makes the product, get some info from them. Worst they can tell you is no.

The forum is busiest from Monday to Friday. It's quite slow on the weekends.

Like you mentioned with the other forums, this forum has slowed down considerably over the past two or three years....

I think she looks pretty good. My only critique would be that her hips are rather narrow that they don't seem to be in proportion to her body. I would bump them out just some more....

          Good evening, everyone.

As a new member to this excellent forum, I have no idea whether the current level of activity is to be expected, but it seems very quiet at just a few posts per day....

Comment on Typesetting. Can you spot my obsession?

Two spaces was never a thing. Ever. It was invented by high school typewriting teachers who thought that the monospaced letters on a typewriter made it difficult to see where the end of a sentence occurred....

It's an interesting request. I think the answer depends on what your designing. Who's going to use it, why, and what solution makes the most sense from the end user's view.
