Milton Glaser: To Inform & Delight
Milton Glaser, designer of
Here's the intro
I'm watching it now on Netflix, I watched part of it before and I like the things he says about drawing in the video, it's not just about graphic design.Last edited by Caribbean; 01-11-2012, 10:07 PM.

Sketches of Frank Gehry
I saw this film in my architecture class; What I liked about it was Frank's process, it's very different the way he makes decisions, even if it's a different field than graphic design, his approach is unique, it makes me think about my own
I just like his buildings, the textures, the materials, the organic shapes, the collections of forms he puts in buildingsLast edited by Caribbean; 01-11-2012, 11:06 PM.

Eating buccaneers - it's a cheesy Canadian movie but illustrates advertising office relationships pretty accurately
Stranger than fiction -not about art or design, but design/gui plays an integral role in the film

Nothing in Common with Tom Hanks and Jackie Gleason - one of my favorites. It's a father/son relationship movie, but Hanks' character works in advertising and the view into that world was one of the things that pushed me to pursue a creative career. Worth a rent.

Stranger Than Fiction
Loved the infographic elements.
The ultimate recreation of a printed design.
Ikea bit: "I would flip through catalogs and wonder, "What kind of dining set defines me as a person?" We used to read pornography. Now it was the Horchow Collection."
Also, there isn't much advertising without a designer's touch, here are some movies with not-so-subliminal advertising:
