  • Books on the Printing Process.

    He guys.

I'm looking for some books that'd be a good resource for teaching me a bit more about the printing process. I know enough to keep me employed as a designer, but I want to build my repertoire. I want to be able to understand more of what our printers do and what they go through when he get a finished order back.

"What sort of process" you might say. Well, I managed to find a book about plate lithography from the local library, so I guess I'm wanting to brush up about the more common processes used. I'm also always interested to read about the origins (no matter what the subject).

Anyone know of any good books they could recommend?

I know this can span a wide variety of topics, but I'm curious what your favorite design book is.
My focus is branding and logo design, but trying to build a library of design books.

The point at which no one is able to make a living in a once thriving profession. Your ''secondary skill'' definition would be that cliff.

              There is no ''general rule''

The idea is not to have rivers running through it. Sometimes you have to suggest to the client that they might have to change a word here and there (as long as...

I predict that the worse case scenario is graphic design reduced to secondary skill status.

              What is ''the cliff?''
