  • How can I smoothen brushes together on PS?

    #1
    Hello all,
I've been challenged me to take this image and blow it up from a tiny 7x4 90dpi image, to a 6x3 foot logo!

I've tried a few tricks such as downloading brushes, but I have to dab the brush multiple times to get all the splash lines there. I want one solid splash with a similar look as the original logo, in one smooth consistent look. This is my outcome:

Anyone have any tips on how to smoothen the consistency within multiple brush dabs?

a logo should be done in illustrator not photoshop. i would trace the splatter shape with the pen tool, in illustrator. you can then take your vector shape into photoshop and add some texture to it to make it look more like that splatter.

I always make an exception to the Illustrator Only rule when it comes to Beer, Wine, and Liquor logos.

That said though, The person making the logo needs to know that eventually the logo may end up on a billboard.

Even if it is some guy's little backyard microbrewery.

This is how I would do it too.

I would take this a step farther and completely create it in Illustrator. I'm not convinced that you need this in PS until the very end of the project.

                      result

I ended up tracing it on illustrator and putting in a texture. It was tough finding a texture for a 3x6ft image.

Then I recreated the logo with my own spin on it

Just curious, but why have you paired up a wine bottle and "le cellier" with martini glasses?

That's a very good point. The art director actually to have it based off his original design, I expanded upon it. I will bring it up to him though.

Yum. I do love salmon sandwiches. The bakery near me do great smoked salmon bagels. It's not a bagel shop so they don't jack up the prices.

It won't stay this way ... but, they have to get all the bugs worked out first and then we will worry about cosmetic issues
