  • Portfolio Question!

I am doing my final portfolio assesment next week (can't believe I am almost done my program!) and I was wondering how people felt about having a written decription or short title beside the work, It seems a little odd to me to have all of my work layed out on white 11 x 17 pages and have no text, but I wouldn't want it to distract from my work, if it's good it should be able to speak for it's self right?

    Thoughts?

If you are talking about a portfolio you have in a case and take with you to interviews where you will be doing a presentation of the work, a written blurb is not needed.

If you are talking about a leave behind, then yes.
    Same with websites. Yes.
If you aren't in the room to explain the brief, challenges and solutions behind a portfolio piece, then a written blurb is customary.
