    Alright...
Here's my site. Tell me what you think. I'm still not done yet, of course.

    www.poor-boy.net

Yes, I know I'm being horribly, ludicrously cheap with things, and I should probably be terribly ashamed with myself, but keep in mind that I'm only 15.
It would be nice to broaden my portfolio, though.

    Well done!

I like they way you've used CSS.

You might want to use a sans-serif font like Verdana or Arial rather than times?

On portfolio: I would not put my oldest and most basic site first.

How do you get back to your site from the forum page?

Don't forget, as an alternative to cheap rates another option when trying to build your portfolio is to find a charity or worthy cause and make them a site free.

Well, not a bad start. That green is hard on the eyes. Your coding isn't too bad. It is good that you are already starting in CSS. However, you need to have a doctype on your page and you should run it through the W3C validator. Right now you are mixing the new with the old. A CSS-P site should never use the center tag.

BTW, you should always specify the units in CSS. Like width: 100px; or width: 100%;.

To get back to the site from the forum you can turn your banner into a link to the homepage.

You need to get a better host though. Your portfolio sites get screwed up by the Yahoo ads. I suggest Buildtolearn.

Quick! There is time to waste, hurry up and wait!

colors are to 'in your face' reminds me of slime or double dare

good start....keep redoing the site design you will find yourself getting better and better and faster and faster..... Dont list your rates that cheap instead go find some clients like dog rescues or anytype of NON PROFIT agency....if you list your rates that cheap than potential free clients wont think they are getting much value for your service

I almost bought the domain 'greedyboy.com' for my portfolio but I didnt maybe I will hmmmmm

also work on your photoshop skills with tutorials and just play around with it...

        your logo isnt great....

but for a 15 year old EXCELLENT WORK STICK AROUND....

RYAN your not the youngest anymore.....

yeah, not too keen on the green ... but it's a good thing you are using css. everyone else has covered what i was going to say except for one thing. i would recommend that you not put your prices on the site. why?
          [quote]

"Charging smaller companies less is a standard business practice; as a matter of fact, it's even recommended and documented by Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing &amp; Ethical Guidelines. But that is not the issue here, which I'll try to explain some other time. The issue at hand is publishing prices of any kind on a web site. It is unethical and sends a wrong message to who we are. When was the last time you came across lawyer's web site or office window and saw the following: Divorce Papers for $399; Last Will and Testament $99; and so on."</CODE>

thats not a bad site, it is a big improvement from your other sites, it reminds me of back when I was 15. I was making sites jsut like that, then i made a move to flash. stick whith it maybye learn some flash for a real DYNAMIC page. learning how to animate in flash is fun. the green is a bit bright, i would recomend a maybye a darker shade. Its good to see that you have a portfolio. I diddn't keep my old work and now I am going to have to start a portfolio from scratch.
            good work keep it up.

I made six color variations so that I can switch them out every day (why I like using css), so that nasty green will only come up once every six days.

So today, instead of it being a nasty greenish color, it's a nasty reddish color.
