    Hello there,

First time poster here. I'm trying to up my designing game to get from designing thumbnails, overlays etc. To stuff I can actually earn money with. Here is a simple business card I made for practice, and I would like to get some feedback on it.
I already saw myself that the colors are a bit screamy, I don't know how I could lessen that, if someone could give me some tips on that?

Is it for a stock site? ''Your logo Here'' type thing?

I don't see any screaming colors. More mauve and dusty rose.

Business cards are not stand-alone items. They are part and parcel with a company's overall branding package and usually designed as part of such package.

Quite honestly, no one ''buys a business card design'' out of context. And we can't critique one as such. To design a business card you need to have access to the company logo, information on the company's business ethos, their corporate culture, their branding standards, who their clientele is and maybe even identify if the people to whom the business card is being given, if they are somehow outside the standard clientele, ie for public-facing sales or vendor-facing purchasers. Some companies are large enough that different divisions inside the company have slightly modified branding standards that should carry over into the business cards for each division.

Actually, I do have a print related issue if you'd like to take a stab at helping me with. Should I post in the correct category with the issue and picture that goes with it?

Still doesn't help the student figure out how to come up with a viable concept. If they had done even the tiniest bit of research, your ''concept'' would have been easily discovered. It's on just about...
