I definitely think it looks like a logo for a landscaping business. Especially the word "landscaping" tipped me off. The type needs work though. A little polish is needed, but it's a great start. Make sure it works in black and white.

              First of all, big improvement.

Now, I'd simplify the leaves a lot. There's way to many of them and the seem erratic. You'd probably want a lanscaping company to be the exact opposite of erratic. Maybe make the leaves a seperate icon (eg: not coming out of the l) Having it this way does add much if anything.
I like the colours a lot. However, the type just doesn't make sense, it's too large, and doubling it up like that is really unnessecary.
If you're going to be using this for a portfolio piece, I'd go one step further and create an entire identity package (business cards, stationery, envelopes etc) utilizing that whole leafy pattern.

              great start.

Thank yes thats a great idea, I can make the leaves larger and faded in the back of a document. Yes I will take the leaves off of the I and just put them maybe above the text. Mac, Do you think the folors are to dull, I thought that at first adn thought maybe I should use more vivid colors

i think there great, i just have one piece of advice i work designing corporate wear and promotional items when i design something i have to figure out what the logo is going on if its paper its fine for alot of colour but if they ask for T-shirts or polo shirts coats i have to think im limited to one or two colours due to cost of it, yes its possible to put a multi-coloured logo on to a jacket but the cost is important to the customer.

No, I think the colours are fine. To me (with the colours and shapes the way they are) it looks like construction paper cutouts. It's playful and fun. I think having so many colours could be an issue... but not one you couldn't deal with (especially since this is a fictional company - cost is not an issue )

                      Keep it up.

                        Entire design set for GreenLeaf

Hey thanks, I like the colors to but I did it, I took of the leafs from the L and just put it in the backround. Do you think its to big? It Might be but I think it looks better to have less leafs and make it more simple. This way it IS more cost effective for the client, even though this IS a fake thing i got here. I have all these pieces that I want to put like a company package, not really sure what that is called...

Uploaded a light and dark version of the logo, I also have the header sheet, i think thats what they are called, has a couple large leaves and it looks good. I still have to upload that to my site as well as an envelope.
