  • Another TMoore paint scheme comes to life...

    #1
I designed this paint scheme for a customer down in Texas back in December. It's been in the shop since January and I've been so antsy to see how it turned out.

Well, the car is finally finished and all I can say is WOW! I'm so excited with this one! I think the designs plays well with the lines of the car, keeping it classy while having a custom look to it. Simple and clean...just the way I like 'em.

Check out the pics and let me know what you think...

    My initial rendering...

    And the final paintjob...

Do you like it...or dislike it?? Let me hear it.

Very cool it is! Sexy is the color scheme. Oh wait, talk like Yoda day is over.

One thing strikes me as funny/interesting. Did you notice the grey outline of the black stripes has the same jagged look in the photos as your illustration? I don’t know why I find that remarkable. I’m sure when you are there looking at the car you would not see that. Its just digital artifactness, but that its happening in the photo as well as the illustration...they followed your scheme right down the line!

I like it alot, but I think you could have done more with the "fins." You could have accented it more than you currently have.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it.

This guy is so ecstatic with the car now. He said he has already had numerous people stop him and ask him about the design and the colors used and he's only had it finished for a couple weeks. That makes it worth it all right there knowing he's so pleased with it.

Looks awesome! YNOT, are most of your clients in St. Louis? And do you know of a website that has a good list of car shows in St. Louis? I usually go to the Forest Park car show, but I don't really know of any others.

As a printer, if I change a file for a design client, I know the color won't shift. But. If the design client sends an entirely new file, I check it to be sure the color won't shift. There are so many...

I think I am getting a bit better with the pen tool, but let me know if you see where I can improve? Also, if there are areas to improve the illustration style, thanks?...

This is something I made in my free time.

I'm not planning on going to art school or anything like that, but I still like drawing and designing, so I'm planning on doing it as a side thing....
