  • Logo Font

    #1
I'm pulling my hair out. I just can't fint THE font to compliment the logo mark (which has already been approved and finalized).

Any of these moving in the right direction? Any other suggestions? I think I'm liking the all caps... But other than that, I just don't know.

And btw, the client doesn't know if the business name will be "2 Be Admired" or "2.b.admired".... hence the variation in these samples.

Briefly.... this client is launching a new clothing line aimed at tween girls. Market will be mid-level mall stores (think Limited Too). She didn't want it to be too childish, since she eventually hopes to expand into the teen market. Adjectives she uses to describe the line are unique, individual, age appropriate . More Miley than Britney, I suppose!!

Out of all these I find #15 to be the most legible. the rest seem to have kerning issues. The samples that read "2.B.Admired" Are very difficult to read. Maybe try it with out the periods.

Have you tried laying out the text horizontally with out the curve?

6 is the best IMO, I prefer it without the caps

Speaking just of the font choices, I would say 6 or 14.

The mark itself looks a lot more like 26A than 2bA.

I read 264 then thought, no it must be 26A, but didn't get the b until I read the 2.b.admired.

I would stick with lower case for the market you're aiming at as it feels more freindly and cute in this situation.

It would be nice to see the circle just containing the 2b and just have the word admired under it creating a logo as a whole. I'm guessing that girls would probably end up calling the brand "2b" anyway. "2b or not 2b, that is the question" boom cha.

If you're wanting to keep the 2bA in the circle and reiterate it with the text below then I'd keep playing with placement as although 6 and 16 are the best, they still don't seem quite right.

I love the colour, but I'm surprised that it's a choice made to appeal to tween girls.

Thanks all. A good night sleep has given me some new energy to tackle this.

I'm not thrilled with the mark itself, but this is the one she choose... And she loves it.

You're totally right about the B looking like a 6. Let me see if I can modify the letter a tad to make that more obvious.

I'm also going to say 14 - clear but not too serious looking. I think 6 is too cartoony although it would be my second choice for clarity. And I think they should stick with 2 b, not 2 be, since the "text speak" will probably appeal to their market more. I like the periods as well, but that's just one of my quirks.

yea a serif of some kind or a cursive swash on the stem of the b would help its recognition.

I also like 6. It's the cleanest of all of them. . . but I guess you can run it by your client and see what he/she thinks.

I've narrowed it down to two font choices. Click here to view the various iterations and sizes of each.

I like #1 and #15 personally, but you can probably tell that I'm a sucker for avant garde.
I gotta say I see 264 out of the logomark though.

I like one as well. I think the geometric typeface works really well with the mark. I'm partial towards geometics sans serifs though.

I like that you've changed the 6/b, but it's still not there. I read it as 2GA, this is probably because most people tend to recognize things that represent printed letters more than cursive letters, and besides the cursive b character is just ugly in general imo. play around with all your fonts, go through them to find a be that makes great neg space with the other two characters, don't count any out and don't jump to any particular ones in the first place. Just my two cents
