  • Russian Stamp Set

This was a course assignment to do a set of stamps inspired by the works of Aleksandr Rodchenko. They're larger and clearer than the attachment.

The overall feel is you're in limbo between constructivist geometry and photmontage without doing either justice.

Is it just general Rodchenko work or specifically GD? There's a raft of great stamps in his photography alone. From this perspective the stamps look busy for the size (whatever size the stamp), although it's a good template which is one of the most important things for a stamp series. And i like the way you've tried to make a larger image when they're collected, which tend to work individually aswell. Strangely though it's not cohesive, just a bit messy.

I wouldn't cut half his face off on the cover, not without good reason.
