Hey yall, I'm new here to the forum. Amazing site by the way.

Anywho, heres a logo I'm designing for a friend for his stone distributor business. It is called Texas Stone Co-Op. Let me know what ya think.

The "Co-Op" is way to small and is going to get lost/bleed out at smaller sizes. What's with the uneven sections of the star? Is that suppose to make it look stone like, because for me, it's not working at all. It's distracting and looks like a mistake IMO. Other than that, it's rather uninteresting. Have any concept sketches of other ideas you can show us?

Thanks for your opinion aaron. I agree with the Co-Op being small, I've been having trouble with that. And as for the jagged edges, yes their suppose to look like the corners of a jagged rock. The client is very determined to have his idea of what he wants and this is the most I could budge with him to not get too corny and bad looking logo. I hope you understand how some clients are and you have to work with what you have to finish the job.

I think the rock idea could be better executed. The jagged edges of the star look like a mistake to me too. If I got a letterhead like this to print, I'd be calling you up as the designer to confirm that it was correct.

These are 4 copies of the same logo. Do you have any other concepts?

Reminds me of some illlustrator effect.

          Like Herbal Essence illustrator gradient.

This post is brought to you by the letter E and the number 9. Those are the buttons I push to get a Twix out of the candy machine.
