    This is like buying a car, then the dealer charging you an extra 25% if you want the keys for it. When a client hires you to design a logo for them, they are purchasing that logo. They aren't buying...

    I like the simplicity and professionalism of it. But there are a few issues. First thing I noticed is the j is lowercase, but the W is uppercase. I would make both the same, either both lower or both...

    After recently entering back into the job market, i've put together a small online portfolio. I specialize in print and packaging design and would love to get some feedback on what i have so far. Thanks!

    Just personal preference, but I'm not to fond of the sideways scroll layout. It seems to go against what has become to be intuitive these days.

      I like it, very clean.

      I just wish that under your name there was a small navigation that I could click on a jump to each sections. Something like

        Looks good Silence. I'd like an option to click to enlarge the images though!

          It'd be nice to have a little bit of a brief on the stuff too.

            This would greatly help with side-scrolling issue.

            The site is very clean but maybe a bit sparse, as Bladez says a bit of info.

              You could even implement a jQuery smooth scroll effect for this, which look really awesome on sideways scrolling sites! Just add the following and change what is in red (add your class or anchor name for each of the sub nav links.

              Code:
              $(document).ready(function() {
              	$("backToBeginning, Print, Illustration, webDesign").anchorAnimate()
              });
              jQuery.fn.anchorAnimate = function(settings) {
              	settings = jQuery.extend({
              	speed : 1000
              	}, settings);
              	return this.each(function(){
              		var caller = this
              		$(caller).click(function (event) {
              			event.preventDefault()
              			var locationHref = window.location.href
              			var elementClick = $(caller).attr("href")

              			var destination = $(elementClick).offset().top;
              			$("html:not(:animated),body:not(:animated)").animate({ scrollTop: destination}, settings.speed, function() {
              				window.location.hash = elementClick
              			});
              		  	return false;
              		})
              	})
              }

                  It really is simple to use. It is the same script that I use on my site (works page sub nav, and "Back To The Top" use this). Also, don't forget to call the jQuery library.

                  Code:
                  <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
                  If you need help getting it to work, let me know!

                    beautiful work silence04. I'd be surprised if you can't find a gig in a reasonable time.

                    I actually don't mind the side scrolling. I think you have achieved your goal in making your print work stand out about all else. It certainly shows. The simple straightforward design complements your work well.

                    The one thing I would recommend would be some simple blurbs about the objective of each project and how it was achieved. Employers always like to see that kind of stuff and not just images of work.

                    Surprised you didn't include the kids juice box packaging you did a while back. That was a very nice and highly successful piece.

                      On my screen the 'GD' beneath your name is getting horizontally chopped.

                          Clean, crisp. GREAT work. I don't mind the side scrolling, either.

                          I had to laugh at the photo correction work... while it's really very good, it's exactly why young girls have body image issues! Overall, great work and good luck with your job search.
